Dining outdoors with perfect weather amidst the bustle of Tumon is one of the better ways to enjoy a meal. Hot Diggety Dog is more like an upscale food stand than anything else. While you’re not being served out of a cart, the menu is simple and includes all your staple hotdog stand favorites. That’s what makes this place. They take up just a sliver of space in Pleasure Island and they don’t charge much considering their location. For $6.30, I enjoyed the Rottweiler Combo, which consisted of an all beef sausage hot dog covered in chili with a drink and a choice of fries, onion rings or apples. You can also opt for polish sausage, chicken if you’re looking for a healthier option, and a couple other varieties. They offer a happy hour special from 6pm to 8pm, which gives you 10% off your meal. Though there was nothing spectacular about the Rottweiler, I was satisfied with my pick. And there are several other options on the menu for those more adventurous. Would I come back? Definitely. Not just for the food, but for the people watching and the Tumon breeze. I give Hot Diggety Dog a [B] rating. ~ La-Di Da-Di

FOOD: The choice of hotdogs include all beef, chicken, polish, jalepeno cheese or a 10-footer. Then they offer different choices of toppings to make specialty hotdogs all named after actual dogs. Cute. I ordered the French Terrier with an all beef hotdog, which included chili and fries on top with a side of fries or onion rings.
ROTTWEILER COMBO |
The hotdog was plumper than the average Oscar Meyer hotdog. It was tasty. The chili, however, could use some work. It tasted like it could have been out of the can. And I swear there were no fries or maybe one or two with the chili. The onion rings were as good as fried onion rings could get.
PRICE: The combo was $6.00 with fries and a drink. Not bad.
PLACE: I love the name 'Hot Diggety Dog' and the fact that it's a vendor on the streets of Tumon. It was lovely to sit, eat my hotdog and people watch.
My overall personal rating: *B* ~ CAPEESH
