FOOD: I wanted to try something different so I ordered the Crawfish Etouffe. The crawfish looked and tasted like mini lobsters; they were small, but there were many in the dish. It tasted like a stew and was a bit bland, but it was definitely something different. It came over rice with collard greens, salad and corn bread. The portions were generous and more than enough for one person. I also tried the gumbo, which is like a thick chicken soup… it was tasty.

PRICE: Cost of the meal was probably the worst thing about the restaurant. It was a bit pricey. I paid around $28.00 for my dish alone. However, there are other dishes on the menu that are more affordable and they do give large portions.

PLACE: The service and the ambiance were the best part about the restaurant. There was a live, jazz one-man band that complemented the jazzy art on the walls. The service was great and husband and wife that own the restaurant greeted us and were very kind and welcoming.

My overall personal rating: *B+*     ~ CAPEESH

CRAWFISH ETOUFFE & GUMBO
Cajun Delight was delightful. From the owners to the music to the ambiance. The food was many things, but in a single word I would call it “authentic”. And I've never had authentic Cajun/Creole cuisine, but with Cat Fish, Jambalaya Rice, Collard Greens, Gumbo, Corn Bread and Sweet Peach Tea in front of me, I can’t imagine you’d call it anything else. By far the Gumbo topped my list for the evening. A little soupier in consistency than others I’ve tried, but definitely the tastiest. The dinner prices were a little steep to make it a regular stop ~ walked out with a $35 bill, but I felt the customer service, dinner entertainment and generous portions gave me my money's worth for a first shot...and there were definitely less expensive items to choose from. Would I come back? With an owner as sweet as “Mama Peaches” and a taste this unique to Guam, I’ll give their ribs a try someday (supposedly a customer favorite). I give Cajun Delight a [B+] rating.      ~La-Di Da-Di
