FOOD: I ordered the Pork Katsu Don and the Poke and both taste exactly how one would expect from a Japanese restaurant. But my headache after the meal leads me to believe they might use an overwhelming amount of MSG.
PRICE: I paid around $18.00 for both dishes.
PLACE: It was nice and simple, but for a restaurant that wasn't crowded, I felt like I waited a very long time for my food to come out.

This little Japanese eatery in Agana is run by an older couple (I assume couple). The wife is the cook and the husband is the waiter. They were extremely kind and very apologetic for the delay; we came right at their dinner rush. I opted for the Chicken Terriyaki entrĂ©e, which came with rice, miso soup and daigo. There was nothing spectacular about the taste, but the presentation was perfect and the portions reasonable for about $13.00. We had the Poke as a starter. It was so-so, and I’d probably go for something different during a second visit. Food aside, I liked the whole feel of the restaurant. A very homey Japanese vibe with a modern touch. Would I come back? While the food wasn’t superb, the ambiance and the owners were delightful. And I’m always hopeful for a small business, so I may come back eventually. I give Chopstix a [B-] rating. ~ La-Di Da-Di
