31. SOONDOL'S FULL HOUSE

PHONE: 671.734.8282
LOCATION: Across old Pizza Hut, Barrigada
HOURS: 11:30am-10pm, M-Sat; Closed Sunday

FOOD: The new Korean restaurant in Barriagada called Full House offers a good taste of Korean-American entrees to the  central part of the island. Though they are getting famous for their roasted chicken, I ordered my usual choice of Korean food, Kalbi. The Kalbi was tasty, but oily. The portion was good. It came with rice and the typical side dishes including kimchee and bean sprouts.

PRICE: The Kalbi with Rice and Kimchee meal was $14.99.

PLACE: The restaurant itself is nothing fancy and service was good. The only thing I really did not enjoy about Full House was the barbecue smell that lingered on my clothes long after I left the restaurant. But, being that it’s close to where I live, I will go back. However, next time I’ll order take out.

My overall personal rating: *B-*     ~ CAPEESH

1/2 ROTISSERIE CHICKEN
At first thought, Barrigada doesn’t seem like it would have an array of food choices, but you can actually find Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, fast food, a bakery, a deli and now Korean cuisine with Soondol’s Full House. It’s a little family-run restaurant with a simple menu catered more toward the meat lover. Rotisserie Chicken doesn’t exactly get you thinking Korean, but since they boast it as one of their main menu items, I went for it. It was nice and moist and definitely plentiful – a half chicken for $9.00. It came with cabbage salad, but rice upon request for $1.50. Lunch and dinner menus differ a bit. Lunch is of course a bit cheaper, but has the added addition of shrimp, pork or chicken curry. Would I come back? The food wasn’t bad and I’d like to give the Kalbi a try, so it might be a good weekday choice. I give Soondol’s Full House a [B] rating.     ~La-Di Da-Di
